Seattle based conceptual still life, lifestyle and portrait photographer with an unique perspective.
A Seattle native, Rob started out in the early 90's assisting photographers and working as a grip and PA in the film industry. When he was ready to go out on his own, he entered the stock photo industry in the late 90's and also showed his Miniatures work at the now former Jan Kesner Gallery in LA.
Soon his conceptual still life images and portraits took off as Rob began shooting for national magazines, design firms and ad agencies such as Time, Digital Kitchen, Real Simple and Eddie Bauer.
Rob took a break from the photo biz during during the Great Recession and is now re-entering with new energy and a fresh perspective.
When not behind the camera, Rob runs Salmon Bay Paddle, a stand up paddling school in Seattle where he teaches SUP surfing, river sup, expedition training and basic lessons. He also is the author of two paddle sports guides by Mountaineers Books. Follow Salmon Bay on IG:
